Data administrator

  2. The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a MailChimp – in the event of subscribing to the newsletter
  3. Amazon, Inc. – in order to use the computing cloud services
  4. Disqus, Inc. – in order to use the service embedded on the website, which is used for commenting.

All the entities that we trust with data processing guarantee adequate measures in personal data protection and safety as required by law.

Due to using services of Google, the MailChimp system, Disqus and Amazon, your data  might be sent to the United States of America due to being stored on American servers.  Google and the provider of the MailChimp system have joined the Privacy Shield program and thus they guarantee an adequate level of personal data protection required by the European legislation.

Newsletter – in order to sign up for the newsletter, it is necessary to provide an e-mail address using the newsletter form. Providing the data is voluntary, but it’s required to sign up for the newsletter.

The data submitted to the newsletter is used for the purposes of sending you the newsletter, and the legal basis for processing it is your consent (art. 6, par. 1 a of GDPR) given when signing up for the newsletter.

The data will be processed throughout the time of the newsletter’s activity, unless you express desire to have your data removed from the database.

You can correct your data stored in the newsletter database at any moment, as well as demand to have it deleted, thus canceling the subscription to the newsletter. The right to have the data transferred applies, as specified in art. 20 of GDPR.

Cookie files

Google Analytics collects information on how you use the website in an automated manner. The information collected this way is most often sent to severs located in United States and stored there.

Only in exceptional cases is a full IP address sent to a Google server in United States and then shortened there. An anonymized IP address submitted by the browser under Google Analytics is not, in principle, combined with other Google data.

Due to Google LLC being based in USA and utilizing technical infrastructure located in USA, it has joined the EU-US-Privacy Shield program for the purpose of providing the right level of personal data protection required by the European legislation. Under an agreement between USA and the European Commission, the latter has determined an adequate level of data protection when it comes to companies with the Privacy Shield certificate.
